More quizzes... I just love them. :D This is my 'social entity' apparently.

Category V - The Lone Wolf
Though you'd be welcome in most groups, you prefer
a more solitary path.
What Type of Social Entity are You?

Apparently the british government will bring in a test next year for all foreigners
applying for UK citizenship. Here is a similar test to see how "british" you are.
My Results:
you have 71 out of a possible 72.
perfect score
Thank you for completing this exam. Her Majesty is indeed pleased.

This is where I'm gonna brag about my most favouritest birthday presents. :D I got some pretty cool things this year, which must mean I've been extra special good. The most useful thing I got was a 512MB memory card for my camera from my dad. That was so very needed. *nod*. From Stu I got the long coveted Juicy Salif juicer designed by Philippe Stark for Alessi. Mmmmm it is sooo pretty, I could just sit and look at it all day long. And today I went to pick up a surprise pressie from the post office. Riina was the first person ever to get me anything from my wishlist (yay) and had sent me a book on colour, which is like, super nice. Thank you. :)
Oh yes and my mother paid for me to get one of my wisdom teeth pulled. :|
*Update 29.7.* Got another suprise present today! A lovely print from Marjut. Thankies! <3

And so we are back in reality with a bang.
The holiday was absolutely perfect. Italy was as beautiful as ever and at +37C and over 60% humidity it certainly wasn't chilly. If you want to see some piccies click on the door below.
And as Stu has written a rather conclusive review on the trip you could always go read that as well. Saves me from writing it up. :D

We're all packed (I think) and ready to go. Have to get up at
4am, which seems a bit harsh... but at least at the end of it we'll be
in Italy. Yayness. We're flying to Naples and then it's a boatride from
there to the island of Ischia.
We'll be back a week from Sunday, on my birthday (i.e. 25th July), quite possibly with a crispier skin. Erm.
I think I'm gonna try to get some sleep then... although the sun is still up. And I'm too excited...

Well, it seems that I can tick off more boxes from my 'me' song. It's like a friggen prophecy. Except it requires acceptance.
---
That I would be good even if I did nothing
That I would be good even if I got the thumbs down
That I would be good if I got and stayed sick
That I would be good even if I gained ten pounds
That I would be fine even even if I went bankrupt
That I would be good if I lost my hair and my youth
That I would be great if I was no longer queen
That I would be grand if I was not all knowing
That I would be loved even when I numb myself
That I would be good even when I am overwhelmed
That I would be loved even when I was fuming
That I would be good even if I was clingy
That I would be good even if I lost sanity
That I would be good
Whether with or without you
---
And here's something for the Alanis-cynics out there, so you don't have to make nasty comments about my song.

I am Hannibal Lecter.
"You're intelligent, cultured and have a penchant for classical music, red wine and delicious human flesh. You're also very charismatic, which makes you a hit with the ladies/gents who you'll later date, screw and then cook."
Who are you?

So umm they pulled out one wisdom tooth yesterday, which was a bit tricky and not at all pleasant. And I got another week of penicillin. Will take out more after the holiday (yay :|). And the x-ray revealed I have a tooth that needs root canal work done. Joy. That's what you get for never having any fillings or problems when you're young.... Payback time. Well, at least it's looking like I could keep up my ice-cream diet for a year or so. :P
I'm feeling a bit out of it today. I should be washing clothes and starting to think about what to take with on the hols and stuff. Just can't get a hold on anything. Least of all work (although technically I'm on sick leave).
Have a hairdresser tomorrow at 8.15am. That's a bit mental. Just couldn't get any other time on such short notice. Perhaps I can sleep through it and then wake up with a wonderful new haircut. Also have a shoot tomorrow so hopefully I'll be a feeling a bit more with it.

What is it with time huh. It has come practically to a standstill. It's still a week until I go on holiday and I can't wait. I bet the minute my feet touch the ground in Italy the time will speed up like a coil that's been pulled too tight being released... Fun never lasts as long does it.
Did I say I can't wait already? :D
I'm trying to choose which books to take with me on hols. All a bit of froth, that's what holiday reading should be about eh. The books on my 'shortlist' are We are family, Being committed, The Da Vinci Code and Still thinking of you. I'm thinking two or three. Erm. I shall try to refrain from taking all of them... Proper chick lit overdose. (Sorry Riina :P).
Oh yeah and I got this cute little backpack for my camera. It's so small and dinky, but amazingly I managed to cram all my stuff in there. I won't probably take it all with me, mind. I am thinking of taking my film body as well though... at least it will come in handy when I run out of memory card space.

Yes, I'm alive. Just.
To cut a long story short, last week started with the most horrible toothache (I've ever experienced). Turned out my long-overdue wisdom teeth had finally gone on the warpath and would have to be ripped out as soon as possible. Obviously the timing was great as I was flying to London the next day, so my dentist just gave me some penicillin and booked me in for removal when I come back. I tell you something though, flying is not fun when half of your head feels like it's going to explode even before you step on the plane...
The end of last week went in a painful haze, trying to get things done at work without being able to eat or really think about anything else but the throbbing pain. Luckily the meds kicked in over the weekend and I feel a lot better now.
Not so happy about the fact that I'm having the teeth (surely they can't take all four of them at once??) removed the week before we are supposed to go on holiday... Again, perfect timing as far as finances and medical emergencies are concerned.
Oh and those who were wondering, it seems impossible for me to get on DA from work. The site just doesn't load, and even if it did I wouldn't have any time to do anything there anyways. So there. Oh yeah and in Rayleigh the monitor switches between green and blue... again not exactly optimal for viewing, er, well pretty much anything.
On a happier (?) note, I got my mobile upgraded for free. It's a bit ugly but it takes pictures and everything. See.
