Blah, not really in the mood for writing. Had another doctor's appointment today, have another wisdom tooth pulled out next Friday, blood tests next week... more doctors and dentists when I get back from England. I wouldn't mind if I never saw another doctor's or dentist's surgery again in my life. Pfft.
Anyways, I thought I ought to put a little glimpse of our Stockholm cruise up. The coolest thing was the location of our cabin. It was right at the end of the ferry, which meant we sort of had 'our own' balcony and a bloody huge window-wide screen that showed the Olympics. That was actually the sport bar's screen outside our window, but it was just such a weird and wonderful thing to have, I didn't even mind it was just sports. Check the pic of me watching 'our' widescreen telly. :D See, we're easily pleased.
Anyways, lots of good food, a bit too much to drink, some tax free shopping and one drunken shopping spree in the perfume/makeup shop made sure we didn't stick to our budget at all. But ho hum, it was sort of our 5-year anniversary cruise so we decided not to think about money. Well not too much anyways. :P

I forgot to mention how Elli's own gobbledygook language is getting more and more elaborate. She has her own definite words for some things like milk (matna) and water (vetnä), but what was most amusing were her versions of Stu's name - they quite clearly sounded like 'shit' and 'tits' respectively. :D
So I'm on this hormone treatment at the moment and it's making me feel.. odd. Like I'm disconnected from myself. No surprise there really, as all hormones have always done that to me, I'm just a bit annoyed how the doctor declared there were 'no side effects'. And yet it quite clearly states on the box that they 'might cause mood swings, increase of appetite, swelling...' etc. Humph. Well at least they're only 10 day rounds, hopefully I'll feel more normal and on top of myself at the times in between.
Today I have another dentist's appointment (getting very fed up with that place) and in the evening an early birthday barbecue to attend to. And tomorrow we're off to Stockholm. Yay.

Riina, Noa and Elli stayed over yesterday and today. We were originally supposed to all go on a cruise to Stockholm on thursday, but Riina had second thoughts about the 'relaxing' time we would have all crammed into one cabin. And I must say that after one night I can just about see her point. :D It was lovely to see them and I adore the kids to bits, but boy does it take some energy to watch them run around frantically when they're not in their home enviroment... *phew*. So, it's going to be just a quiet cruise for the two of us after all. But in any case, I'm glad we had the change to meet up at least. *nod*
Was strange having them here though, in completely wrong surroundings... kinda funny how you start associating people with certain places after a while.
Oh yeah and I managed to squeeze in a quick photoshoot as well, because I wanted to shoot Riina for my series. For a hurried attempt they didn't turn out half bad either. Thanks so much for agreeing to do that R. :)

Woo hoo it looks like I didn't turn into Darth Vader permanently after all. I can actually hear stuff (other than my own wheezing nose) again and breath and everything. And I'm going home today. :D

Oh my god what a stupid weekend. Not that the weather wasn't great, it was. Absolutely boiling and summery and sunny. Only that I had a ghastly flu and spent most of the weekend either freezing or sweating in bed. Ugh. I still feel way too rough to be at work, but here I am... trying not to pass out or cough my lungs out on the keyboard. And my nose feels like it's gonna drop of any minute. (Oh yeah, so sorry Chris and Amy if you didn't get any sleep... I know I'm not the most ..erm... eloquent of nose-blowers.) Umm... am I getting too graphic here? Very sorry, but I do feel pretty damn awful and I need to whine about it...
Getting a bit tired of always being ill *somehow* when I'm in england. I wonder if the universe is trying to tell me something.

Well I'm in England and the weather is very strange. It's kinda muggy, hot and sticky but grey, like it could start pissing it down any minute. And prolly will.
DA won't load at all from work. Which is probably a good thing, at least from my employer's point of view. Still it's very annoying not being able to check messages or anything. Ho hum.
The train journey to work was rather amusing this morning as there was this bloke who was falling asleep on this other bloke all the time. :D Made for hilarious viewing. (yeah I'm easily pleased). Sorry the picture's a bit crap but I had to try to be a bit.. er.. discreet when taking it.

I am so knackered. I thought this day was never going to end. I've been running aroung like a headless chicken, washing stuff and cleaning stuff and organising boring stuff... Yeah a lot of getting things in order has been happening today. I wonder if it was my horoscope saying I need to get undone things done that made me do it.
It's also been insanely warm (well for Finland), which I really really shouldn't complain about. Umm. But I'm gonna just a little bit... =P as it's not nice sitting inside and working all day when it's boiling hot and I could be somewhere getting a tan. At least the weekend's here soon eh.
I had another dentist appointment yesterday, which was a bit horrible to say the least. Afterwards I went and treated myself in moko, which is one of my favourite shops. I could easily *move* in there. But I think the Ikea people would miss me. :D Anyways, some of the stuff I got inspired me to shoot some stills. That was so much fun, I don't know why I haven't done it for ages. I think I've been too focused on people lately... I do like working with people (wow, I never thought I'd say that actually) but there is something really relaxing about arranging inanimate objects as you wish and fiddling with lights and stuff. It's because there's no element of suprise there I suppose.
Oh and I booked a cruise to Stockholm for the August bank holiday weekend. We're going with Riina, who's in Finland then. I'm really looking forward to it. :D Been too long since I've seen her. *nod*
