Juujuu, nyt tuli kyllä selväksi missä olet ollut. :) Suorastaan hengästyin näistä. Paitsi että kuvasi ovat aina yhtä upeita, olet myös käynyt ihan mielettömissä maisemissa. Ihania! Minäkin tahtoisin nyt heti road tripille, mutta täytynee vaan tyytyä katselemaan näitä kuviasi varsin tahmean työpäiväni piristykseksi. ;)

Hehe, I just finished watching Anatomy of Hell, and after something like that attaching the word ‘difficult’ to The Tree of Life feels almost naive. :D I do agree any difficulty here is more about accepting a different rhythm of unfolding. There is of course value in recognised structures of storytelling, but it would be sad if films like this, where you can just lose yourself without a formula, didn’t exist.

Yes! It’s wonderful in so many ways. Your description of it is wonderful, too!

‘Difficult’ almost always appeals to me (I like a challenge), but I think the only difficult thing about Tree of Life might be letting go of… everything – expectation, impatience, emotional defences – to just be open to it as it happens, which is not always an easy thing to do. Not everyone wants that, I guess, but I’m very glad it exists for me and those that do, too! :)
