What the Milkman Saw

As Sooz (allegedly) licked the seat on the train and got ill at the most inopportune time I talked Rachel into coming with me to see Reverend and the Makers at the Roundhouse yesterday. It was a fun night. Even though I must admit that this was one gig where I felt a teensy weensy bit old. :P What a cool and different venue though, I'd never been there before.

Blossoming

Everything seems to be blossoming suddenly. How lovely.

Park Life

Went for a walkabout in Richmond park. It was a bit rainy but it didn't matter. It was just nice to enjoy the open spaces.

Cozy Lunch

We went for a nice lunch at our local with Sooz. They had candles in every table, even if it was in the middle of the day. It made for a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

Home by Sunset

The sunset today was such a lovely rich orange. Delicious.

They Can't Buy The Sunshine

Went to see Turin Brakes at Cadogan Hall. Such a great gig with a fun and intimate atmosphere. And the venue was just super! There's a few more snaps on flickr.

I got a gorgeous bouquet of roses from my husband today, clearly the bestet husband in the world. <3

Spring in Her Step

The children in Marble Hill Park were running around with spring in their step. I hope the sunshine is here to stay.



Riina, Elli and Noa came over to see us today and we made good use of the lovely weather by walking to Richmond for a lazy lunch.

My favourite shop in Richmond. On gloriously sunny days like today I don't miss working so much... surprising huh. :P

Threading Rainbows

I'm in love with my new sewing machine. <3 It was actually a Christmas present but I didn't get it until today. And all the thread that I got with it should last for some time to come!

Sunny Side of the Street

What an unexpectedly glorious day it was today! The forecast has been showing rain for today all day long (it's still persistent in fact), but in reality it was lovely and sunny. Felt like spring!

The street light behind the window at the ladies at Shepherd's Bush Empire was sort of mesmerising to me. Perhaps not quite as mesmerising as the lady on stage however. Her demeanour was restless and fidgety and she kept on disappearing into the dark corners of the stage. But her voice was a gift and I'm very happy I had the opportunity to see Cat Power sing live.

The Way the Cookie Crumbles

Received big tin of home baked cookies from Paul in the post. Apparently he had baked 193 cookies altogether.* I'm not complaining, they are delicious! (*Perhaps I'm not the only one who needs to find a proper job. :P)

Sunday was all about cleaning and getting the flat ready for 'The Mum Inspection'. Her flight was only an hour or so delayed, which was good.

The Circus is in Town

Well, not a real circus. Even if the bustle of Piccadilly Circus does make you feel like you're caught in the middle of one. Had to go up there for an interview of sorts.

Without realising I bought such posh desserts that they came in glass ramekins. Blueberry cheesecake. I have to say it was absolutely delicious!

Victim

I'm finally getting to the last boxes. Look what I found in this one... :( It figures that (almost) the only victim of the move happens to be the most expensive piece of china I own. Sigh.

Colourclash

Saw this building on my way to a recruitment agency. I thought it was kind of... endearing. Who ever put the warning sign up paid no attention to clashing colours though. Tsk tsk.
