Hallelujah, it’s Friday finally. This week has felt excruciatingly long, days seem to drag by and there hasn’t been much light at the end of the tunnel. In the 12 or so years that I’ve been working, I don’t think I’ve ever before found getting through the weeks quite this difficult. But here we are, at last at the end of another week. Finally today the sun is challenging the weather forecast and the clock is ticking slowly but surely towards the freedom of the weekend. Can’t wait to get home and do nothing for a change. A lovely clean slate of a weekend, with no plans, is unfolding in front of me. In fact, my pile of unread magazines has been waiting for this weekend for ages. I’m currently trying not to think about the cleaning that needs to get done and just concentrating on the things that don’t require any effort. 😀
It was lovely having Riina over on Tuesday night, although it now feels like ages ago already. After a long gap, we’re now seeing quite a lot of each other, as the following weekend we’re going to that Dirty Dancing picnic concert at Audley End House. I just hope the night won’t be as cold as it was at the previous picnic concert… Brr. The memory still gives me the chills.
It’s now exactly two weeks until holiday. I will survive… I will survive…
