A new home

29th April 2016

This blog was a companion to me for many years. When life got busier and I found myself professionally blogging on multiple other blogs, these personal musings just had to take a backseat. But I just didn’t have the heart to get rid of all this evidence of life ‘before’, so I made a new home for these old posts. Who knows, perhaps in the future I’ll write here again, or at least pop in for end of year surveys. But for now, this site is more of a depository of memories.

Talking of memories, I’m currently making many more of those while finally living in my beloved Cornwall.

End of year survey re: 2013

11th January 2014

1. What did you do in 2013 that you’d never done before? Got pets! 2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? For 2013 my resolutions were to ‘be kinder to myself, take more time to look inside, narrow down what’s really important, travel a lot – for fun.’. In 2013… I… Read More

California dreamin’

13th December 2013

Cross-posted from MTP. Can you believe it, it’s only 18 days until we hit 2014! How crazy is that! Before time completely runs away from me, and Christmas takes over, I thought I’d better blog some images from California. Here’s a collection of snapshots from the Beloved Collective Festival + Adventure Always, and of our mini road trip afterwards. Plus… Read More

Memories from Tuscany

6th December 2013

Cross-posted from MTP. Italy in September feels like such a long time ago! Apart from a lovely engagement session with Lyn & Marc in Florence, there were also good times with good people. Here are some snapshots from my two weeks in Tuscany, I hope they’ll help you feel warm on these cold days! Thank you to Villa Fontelunga for… Read More

West Coast road trip

20th March 2013

Cross-posting from MTP… In case you have been wondering where I’ve been for the past few weeks, here comes your explanation. I love road tripping and this trip along the west coast of the US, from LA to Portland, was as epic as they come. I ended my trip at the WPPI 2013 convention in Las Vegas, which was exhausting… Read More

Life is a playground, or nothing

9th January 2013

It’s strange how some films just sneak by, staying out of reach of wider exposure. I’d never heard of Mr. Nobody, which came out in 2009, but when I came across it I wanted to check it out because it looked interesting visually. And that it certainly was; the set design and cinematography were just beautiful (perhaps less of the… Read More

A lifetime in one exhale

8th January 2013

The Tree of Life is one of those movies that divides opinions. I can understand why words such as ‘slow’, ‘pretentious’, and ‘difficult’ crop up in discussion about a film such as this. Personally though, I found it extremely relaxing and hauntingly beautiful to watch, it felt like seeing a whole lifetime of everything go by during one long exhale…. Read More

End of year survey re: 2012

4th January 2013

1. What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before? Actual, full scale, public speaking. 2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? For 2012 my resolutions were to ‘to get closer to that balance thing, socialise more, get into better shape, and fingers crossed sleep more’. In 2012 I… Read More

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas went already…

30th December 2012

There are not many pictures from Christmas this year, but it was quite lovely indeed, thanks to good company, lots of baking, pressies, and falling asleep every 30 minutes.

Reverse Dorothy

15th December 2012

Flew to Kansas City. Got to spend time with friends, photograph Amy, and see her get married to a beautiful man. A trip that will always stay in my heart.

Beloved Collective Photography Festival 2012, Palm Springs

17th September 2012

Cross-posting this from MTP blog. What an amazing time I had at the Beloved Collective in Palm Springs! I feel like my spirit was nourished, my heart filled to the brim. It was so good to see old friends, to turn some long-time virtual friends into flesh and blood, and to get to know so many new and fascinating people…. Read More
