While air conditioning is without a doubt a good thing to have in the office, it does also mean that you’re constantly freezing while indoors. It’s hard to dress for warm(ish) weather when you know that most of your day will be spent in an ice box. Or is that just our office… do other places have more reasonable air-conditioned temperatures? Hmm. I shouldn’t really complain too much, remembering the horror that was my previous non-air-conditioned office during the summer months. But why is it so difficult to obtain a humane and pleasant inside temperature, beats me.
I painted my nails hot pink last night. I haven’t really worn nail polish, other than french manicure, on my hands for ages. To jump right into such a strong hue seems a bit daring. I keep glancing down at my hands while I type and think that they look like somebody else’s hands. Freaky! I just couldn’t resist the pink bottle when I saw it yesterday. Will try to take a pic later when I get home.
In general I’m feeling better this week. The sadness is still there, somewhere in the background, but I feel like I’m more in control of it. The worst time is still just before falling asleep when suddenly these waves of despair appear from somewhere. I’ve been finding myself going to bed later, making sure that I’m tired enough to just pass out.
Looking forward to next weekend already. Have some retail therapy lined up on Saturday, and on Sunday I have a photo shoot scheduled. It’s the first shoot in a long time and will hopefully work as a catalyst to help me get going with my photography again. Am excited and a bit nervous, feels like a lifetime ago since I took any ‘proper’ pictures. Since Monday is a bank holiday, I booked us into a hotel in Dorchester for Sunday night. Will be nice to go for a little road trip and to get away from it all, if even just for a day.
It’s press week again so I should probably get on with it. Despite the pressure of deadlines, I kind of like press weeks. At least it means days go a bit faster since you’re busy and there’s no time to get overly bored…

You will soon learn that in a 9-5 7 days a week office job it will either be too hot or too cold! I don’t even have air con in my office, just 2 radiators, a heater and lots of cold blooded people – I’ve had to resort to a fan on my desk.
In my last job we had air con which made it too cold in the summer and too hot in the winter.
Temperature in office’s will never be right!

Argh.
