What a day it’s been so far. To start with, the train was a complete nightmare in the morning. There were some problems on the line and all the fast trains were being diverted via Hounslow, which meant our train was so packed it was literally bursting at the seams. I spent the whole journey standing on someone’s toes with my nose squished against a not-very-pleasant shoulder of a man with an itchy suit. Not my idea of fun at all.
The advertising manager is on holiday this week and I’ve been answering his (forever-ringing) phone. My god people who work in advertising/marketing are aggressive! With most of these people it’s like trying to have a conversation with a machine gun. Ugh. Can’t really wait for this week to be over and for my ear to cool down. A new journalist started today (she seems nice enough) and I’ve been setting up a new user account for her on the computer she’ll be sharing with Suzanne. Still waiting for her email account to be set up so I could get the machine all sorted. If IT support seemed bad at my previous job, here it’s pretty much non-existent. Support is outsourced to a company that’s meant to be fairly good, but the problem is that mac support, which pretty much just our department needs, is then outsourced by them to a further company. So nothing happens very fast when it comes to issues with macs.
But it’s not all gloom. Today is finally THE day. The day when Sooz and I are going to go see Sex and the City: The Movie! In less than four hours in fact. Ooh can’t wait! I was supposed to dress a bit more ‘appropriately’ for the occasion but ran completely out of time in the morning so ended up looking more like a scarecrow. Let’s call it the ‘straight out of bed’ look. Yup. At least I re-did my pink nails last night.
Ooh! Just got an email that the lift is finally working. Thank fuck for that! It’s only been, what, a month? Longer maybe. The novelty of thinking how fit I’d get from running up and down between the 3rd floor wore off pretty quickly.
I might have accidentally placed an order with ASOS while I was twiddling my thumbs all on my lonesome in the office at lunchtime. It wasn’t a very big order, mind! There was just this gorgeous clutch in the sale, which I couldn’t resist…

Loving your wardrobe diary. I wish I had half as much fashion sense!
Marianne says
Aww thanks very much. I don’t think I’m very fashionable, but I love clothes and try to work with what I think fits/suits me. Although I tend to (too often?) go with comfort over style.

Why would you need to buy a new clutch?? You dont even own a car???

Okay, I’ve decided, you and I are going to become best friends, then I can raid your closet. What do you think? ( I kid…*teehee*)
Marianne says
@Stu. That’s right dear, it’s for my imaginary car… erm. Nothing whatsoever to do with bags. No.
@Kim. What’s in it for me?? 😀 What size are your shoes? 😛

8,…8.5,…okay,okay, they’re a 9!…Don’t laugh. I’ve not got the height to carry them off either.
